This boat has been in our Mathews yard for the first stage of a several year project to repair her wood hull. Over the winter we sistered in ten laminated white oak frames in her mid-section and replaced ten mahogany planks below the waterline. A number of backing blocks for her planking ends were replaced at the same time. Along with the planking and frame work, we are repairing several sections of the keelson between the frames while the garboard plank is off of the starboard side. Her rudder blocks suffered over the years and were replaced with new white oak blocks using the original rudders and stuffing boxes cleaned up, repacked and reinstalled. The project is on schedule and we will be launching her before the warm weather dries her out too much.
