A surveyor gives you a list of recommended repairs, or your boatyard calls to tell you about a number of items that should be fixed. You have been told that part of your boat’s wiring does not comply with ABYC recommendations. How do you know which items should be addressed now, which can wait, and which can be ignored? How does a boat owner sort through the information and balance the recommendations against time and budget considerations? This seminar will provide the participants with a framework for making smart decisions. After presenting the decision making tools, participants will be shown examples of inspection findings, and will practice applying the tools to the examples (especially helpful for cruising couple making joint decisions). Steve Zimmerman, president and founder of Zimmerman Marine, has been helping boat owners make informed decisions for 30 years.
The presentation will take place on Saturday, September 25th, from 10:30 -12:00 at the Hyatt-Regency.
