Eileen and John Woolsey

Somewhere In Time
Bio:

Eileen and John Woolsey, residents of Brighton-by-the-Bay, Ontario, enjoy being active in their community and spending time with their 4 children and 13 grandchildren. They also like to cycle, and carry folding bikes aboard when they cruise. Before retiring, Eileen was a high-school teacher, and John an actuary.

The Boat:

SOMEWHERE IN TIME is a 2002 Nordic Tug 42, named after a romantic time-travel film set on Mackinac Island, Michigan. The Woolseys bought her in Florida, after a chat with a couple cruising on a trawler sparked their interest in “America’s Great Loop.” They previously sailed a C&C 30 on Lake Ontario.

Favorite Cruising Destination:

“We brought ‘Somewhere in Time’ home via the ICW, Hudson River, and Erie Canal. This winter we look forward to exploring Florida and The Bahamas with friends; next fall we hope to head south on the Mississippi River to complete our ‘Great Loop’ "

Reason for Boatyard Stop:

“After owning ‘Somewhere in Time’ for three years, we know what she needs to make her a good cruising home. We came to ZMI to have the electronics properly interfaced, to install Sirius weather and satellite TV, and to make some core repairs. Since arriving, we’ve decided to have an Electrical Inspection carried out as well.”

Why Zimmerman Marine?:

“After reading an article about the yard, we drove down from Brighton for a visit. We were impressed with what we saw: The yard was clean, orderly, and organized. Now that we’re here with our boat, we’re very pleased with the quality of the workmanship and the skill level of the crew. They take the time to explain what they’re doing – the ‘why’ and the ‘how’ - and to make suggestions.”
